{"id":69,"date":"2024-11-11T11:46:47","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T11:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.elegant.menu\/?p=69"},"modified":"2024-11-13T09:42:10","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T09:42:10","slug":"automatic-order-reciept-printing-with-elegant-menu-orders-management-printer-setup-guide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elegant.menu\/blog\/automatic-order-reciept-printing-with-elegant-menu-orders-management-printer-setup-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"Automatic order Reciept printing with elegant menu orders management &#8211; printer setup guide"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article we will instruct you to setup your printer to work with elegant menu&#8217;s automatic order reciept printing feature. <strong>You normally do not need to print the reciepts<\/strong>,  but we added the feature for those who may need it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>laptop\/PC<\/strong> running Windows, Mac or Linux (we do not support ios and android)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>Wifi router<\/strong> (modem)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An <strong>Epson thermal printer<\/strong> (might work on other brands as well)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Epson <strong>TM Utility<\/strong> app (Install it on your phone)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>Note:<\/strong> This service is tested with Epson Tm series. We recomend using Epson printers, it may work with other brands as well but we cannot guarantee that. This will work for free and paid <a href=\"https:\/\/elegant.menu\">Elegant Menu<\/a> accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: connect the printer to wifi router via ethernet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first step in setting up your thermal printer is to connect it to your WiFi network. You have two main options depending on your setup:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Wired Connection (Ethernet Cable):<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use an Ethernet cable to connect your printer directly to the WiFi router. This method provides a stable connection and is recommended if your printer and router are close to each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once connected, the printer should automatically detect the network and print a slip with its IP address.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wireless Connection (WiFi Dongle):<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you prefer a wireless setup, you can use a compatible WiFi dongle or adapter with your thermal printer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plug the dongle into the designated USB or network port on the printer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the printer\u2019s user manual to connect it to your WiFi network. This may involve configuring the network settings via the printer\u2019s control panel or using a software utility on your computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once connected, the printer will usually print a slip with its IP address, confirming a successful connection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please check <a href=\"https:\/\/support.salido.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360061008174-How-to-Configure-a-Wireless-Epson-TM-m30-or-TM-m30ii-Thermal-Printer-using-the-Epson-TM-Utility-App\">this Link<\/a> for complete guide about configuring wireless connection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Epson TM Utility App<\/strong>: Install the app and follow instructions to set printer ip <strong>manually to<\/strong> <strong>192.168.1.127<\/strong>, The print server will not work if the printer Ip is not 192.168.1.127.<br><br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong>Note:<\/strong> For optimal performance, ensure that the router\u2019s signal is strong and there are minimal obstructions between the printer and the router if using a wireless connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">step 2: turn On the printer and check its IP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Power on the printer. The Ethernet light will stop blinking after about 10 seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The printer should print a slip with its default IP address, which must be <strong>192.168.1.127<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the IP address is different or not printed, you may need to reset the printer to its factory settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your printer\u2019s default IP address is not <strong>192.168.1.127<\/strong>, you can change it via the printer\u2019s settings page or via Epson TM Utility app.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to reset Epson thermal printer to factory settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Turn off the printer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press and hold the <strong>Reset<\/strong> button for at least 5 seconds. You may use a Pen or sharp object.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn the printer back on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1001\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.elegant.menu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/epson-tm-reset-button-1024x1001.png\" alt=\"Epson TM30lll reset button\" class=\"wp-image-77\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will restore the printer to its default settings, including the default IP address.
